Science fiction author Arthur C. Clarke died today in Sri Lanka at age 90. He wrote The Sentinel which is what 2001: A Space Odyssey was based upon. Personally I didn't care for the movie that much. I'm not even sure I ever saw the whole thing. I'm fairly certain I never read any of his writings either, but he's right up there with Asimov whose works I read a lot of and so Clarke gets the lime light here today.
